Kampala, 22 July 2026 – Local Government inspectors participating in the Ministry of Local Government’s three-day training on Human Capital Development Budget Analysis have commenced practical group discussions aimed at strengthening their ability to assess whether district budgets effectively support socio-economic transformation and the realization of Uganda’s demographic dividend.
The training, organized by the Ministry of Local Government in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is intended to build inspectors’ capacity to analyse Human Capital Development budgets and enhance accountability in Local Governments through evidence-based planning and budget oversight.
