The Minister of Local Government, Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, has arrived at Mpanga Market in Fort Portal City ahead of the launch of the National Cleaning Days Initiative.

The Fort Portal event forms part of the nationwide rollout of the Cabinet-approved National Cleaning Days Initiative, coordinated by the Office of the Prime Minister, with Ministers leading mobilisation activities across the country.

The initiative seeks to promote cleaner communities, improve public health and encourage every Ugandan to play a role in keeping their environment clean under the theme:

”A Clean Uganda is Everybody’s Responsibility.”
